The combination of a high content of both elements molybdenum and chromium in the alloy used in the manufacture of Hastelloy C276 round bar, together with the addition of tungsten, make these bars highly resistant to corrosion in many media.
For instance, the alloy demonstrates strong resilience towards chloride ion stress related corrosion cracking, along with localized attacks such as pitting, crevice corrosion.
Not forgetting to mention that the UNS N10276 Hastelloy Square Bar also has good resistance to general corrosion. We have Alloy C276 Hastelloy Bar Stock in all available size range and forms.
