ASTM B677: Standard Specification for Nickel-Iron-Chromium-Molybdenum, Iron-Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum-Copper, and Nickel-Iron-Chromium-Molybdenum-Nitrogen Seamless Pipe and Tube
Alloy 926 has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in media containing halides and hydrogen sulfide. It also has outstanding resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking, and resists to both oxidizing and reducing environments.
Alloy 926 UNS N08926 stainless steel seamless pipe is a high corrosion resistant super austenitic stainless steel material containing high Cr and high Mo.
926 pipe has a similar chemical composition with 904L stainless steel seamless pipe, its nitrogen content is 0.2%, molybdenum content is 6.5%.
It maintains good corrosion resistance in harsh environments such as high temperature, sea water or flue gas desulfurization equipment. In some cases, it is even comparable to alloy C276 seamless pipe.
